i think i know what you feel…while painting i’m melting with my colours, even my body is involved …to keep this sensation a bit longer i mostly leave the blobs on my nose, cheek, hands and hair for some time (after finishing my daywork).

What is the best and kindest way to get colored pastel dust off hands and clothing? This will be your great contribution to artists online DIY solutions…
Before I start working, I apply a barrier cream called “ArtGuard” to my hands. (I use it primarily because I am concerned about toxic chemicals getting through any tiny cuts I might have). Afterwards pastel easily washes off with soap and water. Removing pastel from clothes is not a problem and doesn’t require anything special. I just throw them in the washing machine.
