Why Colored Dust?

When I work on a pastel-on-sandpaper painting, pastel dust falls onto my easel and onto the floor. At the end of a studio session I can tell how productive I’ve been – lots of colored dust means I’ve had a great day!

  24. i think i know what you feel…while painting i’m melting with my colours, even my body is involved …to keep this sensation a bit longer i mostly leave the blobs on my nose, cheek, hands and hair for some time (after finishing my daywork).
